Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and experience in small engine repair. The automotive mechanic will adjust, test and repair engines, steering systems, braking systems, drive trains and vehicle suspensions.

They also work with electrical systems and air-conditioning systems. In large shops, they may specialize in repairing, rebuilding and servicing specific parts (for example, transmissions, engines, electrical components). In this role, they may find themselves working on a wider variety of repair jobs.

The role involves heavy lifting and utilizing hand tools to perform maintenance and repairs on various equipment such as utvs/atvs, skid steers, trailers, and more.

Duties:

- Perform diagnostic tests on machinery and trailers
- Examine the vehicle to locate the cause of faulty operation and repairs
- Take the vehicle for a test drive or refer to manufacturers’ specifications and manuals
- Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts
- Reassemble, adjust and test the repaired mechanism
- Provide scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups




- Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmission systems, and hydraulic components
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate records of services performed
- Comfortable towing trailers and moving equipment in the shop yard
- Coordinating fleet vehicles
- Keeping yard and shop clean organized
- Prepping vehicles for Field crews
- Registering vehicles
- Updating fleet list
- GPS installation
- Decal Installation
- Deliveries as required

Requirements:

- An Alberta-certified journeyperson, or holds a recognized related trade certificate
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repairs
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable towing trailers and moving equipment in the shop yard

Pay: From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
