The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable discussing automotive repairs, and has the confidence to recommend solutions to customers.
You do not necessarily need to be a licensed automotive technician. However, you must have an interest in vehicles and the ability to learn automotive terminology and repair procedures.
You will work closely with our technicians to understand what is wrong with a customer's vehicle and then communicate those findings to the customer in a way that is clear, honest, professional, and easy to understand.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Vehicle Check-In
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Listen carefully to customers' concerns and document their complaints accurately.
- Ask appropriate questions to understand the vehicle's symptoms and history.
- Perform initial vehicle check-in and collect customer and vehicle information.
- Create and update repair orders in our automotive management system.
- Communicate clearly with technicians regarding customer concerns.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle.
- Provide professional follow-up throughout the repair process.
- Ensure customers receive a positive experience from arrival through vehicle pickup.
Automotive Service Advising & Sales
- Review vehicle inspection findings and technician recommendations.
- Understand the difference between safety-related repairs, maintenance, and recommended future repairs.
- Explain automotive problems and repair recommendations to customers in simple, understandable language.
- Present repair options and explain the benefits of completing the recommended work.
- Provide estimates and obtain customer authorization before repairs are performed.
- Recommend appropriate maintenance and repairs based on the vehicle's condition, mileage, inspection results, and manufacturer's requirements.
- Help customers prioritize repairs when multiple issues are identified.
- Explain the difference between urgent repairs and repairs that can reasonably be planned for later.
- Follow up on declined or deferred repairs when appropriate.
- Communicate the value of proper vehicle maintenance without using high-pressure sales tactics.
- Help increase approved repair work through professional service advising and customer education.
- Maintain strong relationships with repeat customers and encourage customer retention.
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per year
