JOURNEYMAN / RED SEAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Fat Dog Automotive is looking for an experienced Journeyman / Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team.

We are a busy, well-established independent automotive repair and collision facility with a strong customer base and steady year-round work.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently, and is looking for a long-term position with a busy shop.

PAY & POSITION

Pay: $40–$45/hour, depending on experience and ability

Position: Full-time, permanent

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns
- Perform brake, suspension and steering repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Perform engine and transmission repairs and replacements
- Perform cooling system and A/C repairs
- Perform drivability and electrical diagnostics
- Perform timing chain and other major mechanical repairs
- Accurately identify required repairs during inspections
- Maintain a clean and professional work area





QUALIFICATIONS
- Alberta Journeyman Automotive Technician certification or Red Seal
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Experience working on a wide variety of makes and models
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Own basic hand tools
