Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable AZ Flat Deck Driver to join our energetic transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flatbed trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Safely operate flat deck trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security systems to ensure optimal safety and compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs of freight movements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers,



and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in top condition throughout your shift.

Requirements

- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used for loading and unloading freight.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols specific to flatbed trucking.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or diagnostics when necessary.
- Strong physical stamina to lift heavy loads, secure cargo, and perform inspections regularly.
- Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and clients.
- Prior experience with freight transportation or flatbed trucking is highly preferred.
