Job Summary

Join our vibrant bakery team as a Bakery Assistant / Dishwasher, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of our bakery. This energetic position offers the opportunity to be involved in food preparation, cake decorating, and food handling while supporting the baking process and ensuring a safe, hygienic workplace. Duties

- Assist bakers with food preparation tasks, including mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling baked goods
- Support cake decorating efforts by applying icing, toppings, and decorative elements with precision and creativity
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and baking areas by washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety standards
- Package baked items efficiently for display or customer orders while ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Support the overall organization of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth bakery operations




- Contribute to a positive customer service experience by maintaining a clean environment and assisting team members as needed

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, baking, and kitchen safety practices
- Experience with cake decorating or interest in developing this skill is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting bakery operations
- Prior experience in food packaging or dishwashing is advantageous but not mandatory
