Location: Iron Springs, Alberta

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

- Cattle Care & Handling: Assist with the safe and efficient handling, moving, sorting, tagging, weighing, processing, shipping and receiving and treatment of cattle. Following established protocols for animal health and welfare.
- Animal Health Monitoring: Regularly observe cattle for signs of illness, injury, lameness, or other concerns and promptly report issues to the feedlot supervisor.
- Barn & Facility Maintenance: Maintain clean, safe, and organized barns, pens, alleys, feed bunks, processing areas, and other livestock facilities. Assist with bedding,



bunk cleaning and general pen maintenance as required.
- Cattle Processing Areas: Clean and maintain chutes, alleys, gates, handling equipment, and other cattle-processing areas to ensure they remain safe and functional.
- General Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with routine maintenance and repairs to fences, gates, and other farm and livestock infrastructure. Identify and report maintenance concerns.
- Record Keeping: Accurately assist with recording cattle treatments, processing activities, health observations, and other information as required.
- Cleaning & Organization: Keep barns, water troughs, equipment, work areas, and surrounding facilities clean, organized, and ready for daily operations.
- Safety & Animal Welfare: Follow all company safety procedures and practice safe, low-stress cattle handling and safe equipment operation at all times.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work cooperatively with the barn crew, pen riders, supervisors, and other feedlot staff to support efficient daily operations.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other general feedlot, barn, livestock, maintenance, and operational duties as required.

Skills:

- Ability to lift 50lbs+, work outside in all weather elements, and walk in all types of terrain
- Protected work habits
- Ability to work in a team environment

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Experience working with Cattle
