Role Description The Bartender role at Woodlyns is a part-time, on-site position located in Toronto, ON. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking guest orders, and providing attentive, courteous service at the bar and surrounding areas. Day-to-day tasks include mixing and garnishing drinks according to recipes and standards, maintaining a clean and organized bar, handling cash and payment transactions accurately, and monitoring inventory and stock levels.

The Bartender will check identification to verify legal drinking age, follow all health and safety guidelines, and support the team by helping with opening and closing duties.



This role also involves engaging with guests in a professional manner, answering questions about menu items, and contributing to a positive, productive work environment.

This role will be minimum wage ($17/h) + tips.

Qualifications

- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and handling inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal communication and active listening in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage basics, including drink ingredients, menu items, and safe handling practices.
- Cash Handling experience, with accuracy in processing payments, managing tabs, and balancing a cash drawer.
- Bartending skills, including drink preparation, cocktail knowledge, responsible alcohol service, and familiarity with bar tools.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Understanding of local liquor laws and Smart Serve or equivalent responsible beverage service certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
