CAREER OPPORTUNITY.
Bilingual Debt Collection Agent
As a Debt Collection Agent at Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in proactively engaging with customer representatives to resolve outstanding account balances with compassion and care. This role requires professionalism, tact, and empathy, and is great for individuals who naturally believe in helping others.
Among other responsibilities, you’ll primarily be involved in:
- Interacting with authorized individuals empathetically and professionally, ensuring fair assessment of estate circumstances and facilitating timely payments.
- Assisting and mentoring customer representatives throughout the estate and succession processes, providing invaluable support and expertise.
- Handling file queues in an organized manner while following regulations, company procedures, and customer service best practices.
- Meeting and exceeding departmental goals and activity metrics, consistently achieving high standards in quality assurance.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE.
- Bilingual fluency in both French and English.
- Customer service and/or call-center experience (preferably withing the banking industry).
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft software applications.
- The ability to multi-task across multiple applications and navigate between multiple screens.
- Assertive, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to a regulated and structured work environment, including reading scripts.
- Customer service focused with sensitivity to individuals experiencing grief and loss.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
BALANCED WORK SCHEDULE. Eligibility for this position requires full participation in a mandatory four-week, in-office training program beginning October 5, 2026, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full attendance throughout the training period is required to successfully meet the requirements of the role.
Following the probation period, candidates must be available to work assigned shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Shift schedules may include:
- - - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To promote work and life flexibility, PCA has implemented a hybrid work policy. Colleagues are generally required to work onsite from a PCA office location full-time. However, following their probationary period, they have the option of applying for hybrid work if they meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements are role specific and have been established to ensure that employees have the adequate knowledge to perform their duties from home.
