About Us
Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Bilingual Part-Time Technical Support Engineer to join our client's team and provide dedicated technical support services for a specific client in a client-focused environment.

Position Summary The Bilingual Technical Support Engineer will provide front-line and escalation technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving a broad range of hardware, software, network, audiovisual (AV), and access-related issues. The successful candidate will work within an ITIL-aligned Service Desk workplace, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and requests while maintaining strong customer service, documentation, security, and SLA standards.
This is a part-time, on-site position at our client's downtown Ottawa office, ideally working Monday to Friday mornings. Flexibility may be required as business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for technical issues through phone, email, and the ITSM portal.
- Log, categorize, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests.
- Provide technical support for Windows desktops/laptops, peripherals, printers, mobile devices, and common applications.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, email, VPN, internet connectivity, network access, user accounts, permissions, and authentication issues.
- Support corporate Apple and Android mobile devices and MDM solutions.
- Ensure audiovisual rooms and equipment are operational.
- Perform workstation setup, deployment, decommissioning, and equipment lifecycle activities.
- Maintain accurate ticket updates, resolution notes, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure incidents and requests are resolved within established SLAs.
- Escalate complex issues to Infrastructure or Security teams as required.
- Support IT asset tracking, inventory management, endpoint compliance, and access management.
- Follow information security, data protection, ITIL, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of hands-on IT support or Service Desk experience.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems and common applications.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Experience supporting Apple and Android mobile devices.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
- Experience working in an ITIL-aligned Service Desk environment and with ITSM/ticketing tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both English and French, verbal and written.
- Ability to work on-site in downtown Ottawa.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Reliability Status clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting audiovisual (AV) equipment and meeting rooms.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Experience with IT asset management and endpoint compliance.
- Knowledge of access management, authentication, antivirus, patching, and endpoint security.
- Experience contributing to knowledge bases and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical users.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours based on evolving client requirements.

Compensation
Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000
