Job Title: Breakfast / Lunch Cook (Monday–Friday) | The Local 1914 at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club

About Us The Local 1914 Kitchen at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club is a high-volume, seasonal operation located just minutes outside Winnipeg off Highway 59. We run a tight, motivated kitchen with a strong team culture — and we’re looking for people who take their craft seriously.

The Role

We’re hiring a Breakfast / Lunch Cook to join our team immediately for the balance of the season. This is a hands-on daytime position, Monday to Friday with a 7:30 AM start, responsible for breakfast service, our lunch à la carte menu, and daytime prep for the kitchen. Weekends off.

You will be responsible for:

- Executing breakfast and lunch service to standard, including eggs, grill, and short-order cookery
- Daytime prep and mise en place to support both lunch and evening service
- Proper cooking techniques, temperature control, and food safety across all stations
- Station organization, rotation, and end-of-shift cleaning to standard
- Supporting Snack Shack and daytime tournament/group functions as needed
- Communicating clearly with front of house on timing and special requests

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment




- Reliable for a 7:30 AM start and comfortable working independently during quieter periods
- Solid knowledge of breakfast cookery, grill work, and heat control
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and communicate professionally across departments
- A genuine passion for food and a desire to grow your skills
- Own reliable transportation is required — there are no bus routes serving the club
