Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items with precision and enthusiasm, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients efficiently
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities
- Serve guests promptly with friendly, professional attitude, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Follow all restaurant procedures related to food handling, storage, and sanitation regulations
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages or issues
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy morning hours

Experience

- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn!




- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly in a rapid-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with serving guests directly or working in customer-facing roles is a plus
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and basic culinary skills related to breakfast foods such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a lively setting

We are looking for a part time breakfast cook, Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8am - 2pm. If you are tired of working for a big chain, than this is the place for you. The Singing Chef is a family owned and operated establishment. The Singing Chef serves breakfast and lunch from your morning favorites, to wraps, burgers and sandwiches at Lunch and so much more. We will not only be known for our amazing home made food, but also for the best service around! You can always expect a warm welcome when you walk into The Singing Chef.
