The Role The Senior ERP Business Analyst will play a key role in understanding how our clients operate today, identifying business and system challenges, defining future-state requirements, and translating business needs into clear requirements for ERP vendors and implementation teams.

This is a hands-on, client-facing consulting role requiring strong analytical skills, business process knowledge, ERP experience, and the ability to facilitate discussions with stakeholders across multiple departments.

The successful candidate will work across engagements including ERP assessments, business process reviews, system selections, ERP implementations, testing, and post-implementation improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Process & Requirements Analysis

- Facilitate discovery sessions and requirements-gathering workshops with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, department leaders, and end users.
- Document current-state business processes, workflows, systems, integrations, pain points, and manual processes.
- Identify process inefficiencies, system limitations, duplicate activities, manual workarounds, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop detailed business, functional, reporting, integration, and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into transparent requirements that can be understood by ERP vendors, implementation partners, and technical teams.
- Develop current-state and future-state process flows and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, automate, and improve business processes.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements based on business importance and project objectives.
- Ensure requirements are complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with the overall project scope.

ERP Assessment & System Selection

- Support ERP assessment and system selection engagements from discovery through final recommendation.
- Assess how well existing systems support current and future business requirements.
- Assist in identifying functional and technology gaps within the client's existing environment.
- Develop detailed ERP requirements for inclusion in RFPs, RFIs, and vendor evaluations.
- Work with ERP vendors to clarify business and functional requirements.




- Develop ERP demonstration scripts and business scenarios based on client requirements.
- Participate in vendor demonstrations and evaluate how effectively proposed solutions meet requirements.
- Assist with vendor scoring, evaluation matrices, gap analysis, and solution comparisons.
- Document findings and contribute to ERP recommendations and technology roadmaps.
- Support the preparation and presentation of findings and recommendations to client stakeholders and executives.

ERP Implementation Support

- Work closely with client teams, Project Managers, ERP vendors, and implementation partners throughout implementation.
- Validate that proposed system designs and configurations align with documented business requirements.
- Participate in solution design and configuration workshops.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Identify gaps between business requirements and proposed system functionality.
- Assist with decisions regarding process changes, configuration, integrations, reporting, and system functionality.
- Support data migration activities, including data requirements, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Assist with identifying reporting, dashboard, and analytics requirements.
- Support integration requirements between the ERP and third-party applications.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across multiple departments and organizational levels.
- Facilitate productive workshops and discussions involving stakeholders with different requirements and priorities.
- Communicate business and system issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Present findings, requirements, process recommendations, and system gaps in a clear and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with AIS Project Managers, consultants,



technical resources, clients, and ERP vendors.
- Maintain high-quality project documentation throughout each engagement.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably with significant ERP or enterprise systems experience.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience participating in ERP implementations, system selections, business process improvement initiatives, or technology assessments.
- Strong understanding of business processes across several functional areas, such as:
- Finance and Accounting
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Procurement and Purchasing
- Inventory and Warehouse Management
- Supply Chain
- Sales and Order Management
- Manufacturing
- Fixed Assets
- Reporting and Analytics
- Experience facilitating requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into structured system requirements.
- Experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working for an ERP consulting, advisory, implementation, or professional services organization.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, Infor, Epicor, Oracle, or comparable solutions.
- CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, or other Business Analysis certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with ERP system selection, RFP/RFI development, vendor demonstrations, and solution evaluation.
- Experience developing UAT scripts and coordinating business testing.
- Experience with process mapping and business process improvement.
- Experience working with integrations, reporting, data migration, and master data.
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, mining, construction, field services, or other asset-intensive environments.

Salary: $80k - $90k CAD annually
