Role Overview
Are you energized by opening doors, starting smart conversations, and helping shape how companies make big decisions about their future?
The Business Development
Representative (BDR) supports Dig Insights' consulting sales efforts by driving early-stage opportunity development across custom quantitative, qualitative, and Future Strategy & Innovation (FSI) solutions. This role serves as a front-end growth engine, combining proactive outbound prospecting and account-based expansion support in close partnership with Account Owners, Client Development leaders, and Future Strategy & Innovation leadership.
Approximately 30–50% of this role is dedicated to direct support of the FSI team, including prospect identification, outbound campaign execution, lead follow-up, and meeting booking (detailed below). The remainder supports broader consulting sales efforts across the full range of consulting solutions.
This BDR plays a critical role in helping Dig focus growth efforts where they matter most. Working cross-functionally, this role supports expansion initiatives aligned to the greatest growth potential and contributes to the development of high-quality, qualified pipeline.
In this role, the BDR helps expand awareness of Dig's consulting capabilities, maps strategic stakeholders within priority accounts, and executes outreach strategies.
Through this work, the BDR helps drive revenue growth and supports the addition of long-term, high-quality client relationships to Dig Insights' portfolio.
We are looking for a creative, curious sales hunter who is energized by opening doors and relentlessly driving new conversations. This role demands consistent, high-energy outreach, a strong bias toward action, and the drive to continually push commercial efforts forward. The right candidate thrives on momentum and is motivated by building pipeline and creating opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Future Strategy & Innovation (FSI) Support (~30–50% of role)
- Build and maintain prospect identification and target outreach lists specific to FSI's offerings and priority segments.
- Plan and execute outbound campaigns dedicated to FSI, in partnership with FSI leadership.
- Follow up on leads generated from conferences and webinars, qualifying and routing them appropriately.
- Book meetings for the FSI team based on defined criteria.
- Support development of FSI-specific sales enablement materials (e.g., outreach templates, talking points, campaign assets).
2. Outbound Prospecting & Continuous Growth Activation
- Research accounts, identify and map key stakeholders, and develop a working understanding of client priorities, needs, and competitive context.
- Identify new buying centers and expansion opportunities across industries and regions, with focus on North America, Europe, and potentially Asia-Pacific.
- Drive outbound communication to generate qualified conversations across target accounts, industries, and regions.
- Build awareness of Dig Insights' custom consulting solutions through tailored, insight-led outreach.
- Experiment with a mix of outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, referrals, content-led touchpoints), incorporating AI and emerging technologies to enhance personalization and engagement.
- Maintain relentless, consistent activity levels, with strong self-motivation, persistence, and ownership.
- Maintain accurate records in HubSpot, including contacts, outreach activity, and opportunity progression, in partnership with Account Owners and Client Development leaders.
3. Thought Leadership & Sales Play Execution
- Support execution of sales plays and solution-focused campaigns tied to thought leadership, content, and POVs.
- Partner with marketing and consulting teams to activate content in service of pipeline generation and account expansion.
- Assist in coordinating outreach strategies around priority solution pushes and innovation themes.
4. Global & Culturally Sensitive Outreach
- Execute outreach strategies that reflect cultural nuance and regional considerations, particularly for EU, LATAM, and potentially APAC markets.
- Support global expansion efforts by adapting communication styles, value propositions, and engagement approaches by region.
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or business development role, preferably within a B2B environment in consulting, market research, insights, or professional services.
- Hands-on experience using sales and productivity tools to maximize efficiency, such as CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), sales engagement platforms, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar technologies.
- Comfort leveraging technology, automation, and emerging AI tools to improve outreach effectiveness, research efficiency, and productivity.
- Comfort partnering cross-functionally with account leaders, client development leaders, and consultants to support account growth and pipeline development.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and cultural contexts.
- Intellectual curiosity for global or international business environments; experience supporting EU and/or APAC markets is a plus.
- Highly organized, proactive, and curious, with an interest in future-facing business, innovation, and thought leadership.
