We are seeking an entry level Cabinet Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be reporting to the Production Manager. You will be responsible for crafting and assembling custom cabinets and woodwork. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of materials, tools, and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinetry using hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and woodworking equipment.
- Interpret plans and specifications to accurately reflect the finished product.
- Measure spaces accurately for custom fitting of cabinetry and related fixtures.
- Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining or painting surface prep as required.
- Complete deliveries and pick ups as required.
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate installation schedules and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary.
- Drivers license required.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in a shop environments.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Basic math skills for reading tape measures, plans and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Ability to read blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Prior shop experience considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a carpentry/cabinetry program is considered an asset.
