Key Responsibilities

CAD Design & Drawing Cleanup

- Review and clean up digital templates and CAD drawings for production.
- Verify dimensions, seam placement, edge profiles, sink cutouts, and backsplash details.
- Prepare fabrication-ready drawings from field measurements and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with sales, project managers, and production staff to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Maintain organized digital project files and documentation.

CNC Programming & Production Support

- Create and optimize CNC machine programs for granite, quartz, marble, and other stone materials.
- Generate tool paths for cutting, profiling, polishing, drilling, and sink fabrication.
- Review layouts to maximize material yield and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to improve production efficiency.
- Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure accurate execution of programs.
- Maintain CNC software databases, tooling libraries, and machine settings.

Field Templating

- Travel to job sites to perform digital templating and field measurements.
- Use laser measuring systems and digital templating equipment to capture precise dimensions.
- Identify installation challenges and communicate solutions before fabrication begins.
- Collaborate with homeowners, builders, contractors, and designers during the templating process.




- Ensure all site information is accurately documented and communicated to production.

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in granite, quartz, marble, or solid surface countertop fabrication.
- Proficiency with CAD software and digital templating systems.
- Experience programming CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Robust understanding of countertop fabrication processes and installation requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, and shop drawings.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer job sites.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with software such as Slabsmith, Moraware, LT-55, AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Fusion, or similar stone industry software.
- Knowledge of CNC bridge saws, routers, polishers, and automated fabrication equipment.
- Previous experience in countertop templating and project planning.
- Understanding of stone layouts, vein matching, and material optimization.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to walk active job sites and fabrication facilities.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work around production equipment for extended periods.

This role combines office-based CAD work, CNC programming, and field templating to ensure accurate fabrication and successful installation of custom stone countertops. Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
