Role Description This is a full time, on-site Carpenter role based in Ottawa, ON. The Carpenter will perform residential renovation tasks including framing walls, installing doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry, and executing finish carpentry to a high standard of quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, reading and interpreting plans, and collaborating with the project team to complete kitchens, bathrooms, structural modifications, and interior improvements.

The role also involves maintaining a safe,



organized worksite, following building codes and company standards, and communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues about progress and issues. The Carpenter is expected to support ongoing repairs and upgrades as needed, ensuring durable, precise, and clean work on every project.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational carpentry skills, including layout, measuring, cutting, and installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, squares, and measuring devices.
- Experience using power tools safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, sanders, and nailers.
- Knowledge of framing techniques for walls, ceilings, and openings in residential structures.
- Skill in finish carpentry, including trim work, moldings, doors, cabinetry, and detailed finishing.
- Understanding of Ontario Building Code basics and safe work practices on residential job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications with attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team in occupied homes.
- Previous experience in high-end residential renovations and own basic tools are considered assets.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites within Ottawa and surrounding areas.
