The Tarcott Group is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our team.

We are looking for a well-rounded, hands-on carpenter who is comfortable with a variety of carpentry, handyman, maintenance, and exterior repair work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, can troubleshoot problems, and takes pride in completing quality work.

This is a hands-on position working primarily on residential and commercial properties throughout the Lower Mainland. Our projects range from smaller maintenance and repair work to larger exterior building projects, so no two days are necessarily the same.

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- General carpentry and building repairs
- Siding repairs and replacement
- Fascia, soffit and exterior trim repairs
- Exterior wood and rot repairs
- Deck and fence repairs
- Door, lock and hardware repairs
- Caulking and weatherproofing
- Minor framing and structural repairs
- Drywall and interior repairs when required
- Water-damage and building repairs
- General handyman and maintenance tasks
- Troubleshooting issues and determining practical repair solutions
- Completing work orders and identifying additional issues on-site
- Working with a variety of hand and power tools
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional work site

What We're Looking For We're looking for a carpenter with a broad range of construction and repair skills.

The ideal candidate

- Has 3+ years of carpentry experience
- Has experience with exterior building repairs and maintenance
- Is confident using hand and power tools
- Can troubleshoot problems and determine how to complete a repair
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail




- Is reliable, organized and able to manage their time effectively
- Is comfortable working outdoors and at different properties throughout the Lower Mainland
- Communicates professionally with customers, property managers and team members
- Has a valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

The Right Fit This position is well suited to a well-rounded carpenter or experienced tradesperson who enjoys a variety of work rather than doing the same task every day.

You may have experience in carpentry, renovations, building maintenance, siding, exterior repairs, restoration, or general construction. If you're the type of carpenter who can look at a problem, figure out what needs to be done, and get the job done properly, we'd like to hear from you.
