Job Overview

Hillside Montessori School is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Casa Montessori Supply Teacher to join our community and work collaboratively with our Casa teachers. We are looking for a Montessori-trained educator who brings patience, warmth, and a deep understanding of the unique developmental milestones of children aged 2.5 to 6 years old.

The ideal candidate creates a calm, engaging, and respectful classroom setting that encourages independence, confidence, language development, and social harmony in accordance with Montessori principles.

Responsibilities

- Fill in for Casa teachers who are away and support them in implementing the five areas of the Montessori curriculum
- Support children in their daily routines, including classroom work cycle, meals, and rest periods
- Foster a safe, inclusive,



and respectful classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized learning space

Qualifications

- Montessori Diploma for the Casa level (2.5 – 6 years old) from a MACTE-accredited or AMI program
- ECE Diploma is a strong asset
- Experience working in a team environment with the ability to work independently
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Mature, caring, dedicated, and responsible attitude
- CPR and First Aid Level C certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Updated immunization record
