Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and explaining features when needed
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and welcoming
- Upsell relevant products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding stock levels, customer requests, or technical issues
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to minimize wait times and maximize customer satisfaction




- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online channels
- Support inventory management by conducting basic stock counts and assisting with merchandising tasks as directed
- Remain flexible with shift scheduling

Experience

- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills are essential for success in this role. Experience with Lightspeed POS is preferred.
- Experience in customer service or technical sales, including product demos or upselling techniques, is a plus
- Knowledge of hobby related items is considered an asset
- Strong communication skills, organizational ability, and time management are key to thriving in this fast-paced workplace
- Prior experience working with merchandising or retail displays will be advantageous
