Started in 1983, For Good Measure is Victoria's original Bulk Food Store. Located in Cadboro Bay Village, we have a loyal and regular clientele that has been shopping with us since the beginning. Some families are now in their third generation of customers.

The business is now in its second generation of family ownership. In 2020, we opened our second location in James Bay and in 2026 we opened The Cheese Counter at our Cadboro Bay location, a full service cheese counter that specializes in fresh cut cheese, meat&cheese; baguettes and custom charcuterie boards.

Summary of Position:

Full time customer service position that includes cashier work, general packaging, cleaning/organizing and customer service at The Cheese Counter including cutting and packaging cheese and deli meats . The successful candidate must be hard working, personable, polite, and punctual. We are a small team of mainly long time employees that works well together and everyone helps one another in all roles within the store.

*This position is 32-40 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday schedule

- Interacting with our wonderful customers
- Cashier
- Packaging
- Cleaning/Tidying
- Customer Service at The Cheese Counter
- Answering Phone

Required Skills and/or attributes:

- Personable/outgoing
- Courteous/polite
- Hard working
- Punctual
- Clean/sanitary
- Interest in food (baking/nutrition etc...)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs comfortably
- Must be available to work afternoons (until 6:30pm) and weekends.
