Anticipated Normal Work Schedule
Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
NOTE: This schedule is subject to change. Incumbent may be required to work weekends and evening hours. This schedule may require you to take up to 1-hour unpaid meal breaks depending on schedule.
Summary
Must have Red Seal, Certificate of Qualification with a minimum 1-year practical experience as Chef de Partie.
Must be able to work in very busy environment keeping up with customer demands with a focus on front line customer service.
Must adhere to Hospitality Policies and procedures.
Required to work all stations and perform all duties at Bistro including, but not limited to, scratch cooking, protein portioning and control, working on charcoal grill, using stone pizza oven, and gardmanger.
Communicate with customers and co-workers effectively, greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work area, including scheduled equipment and unit cleaning.
Ensure all product is stored, retrieved and stock is properly rotated (FIFO).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Ability to work well as a team member and independently.
Organize and coordinate work in a timely manner with little supervision.
Multi-task with efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Plan and coordinates the efficient production of high-quality food and menu items. Help maximize profitability by knowing and constantly adhering to menu and recipe specifications as directed by Chef Manager.
Completes all preparation and log sheets as required.

Education & Experience
Minimum of 4 years experience in the food service industry.
Must have good communication, reading, writing and English skills.
Ontario Post Secondary Diploma or equivalent is required.
