Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Chief of Staff to serve as a trusted right hand to our Managing Partners and drive execution across the fund and its portfolio companies. In this role, you will lead investor and portfolio reporting, conduct market research that shapes our acquisition and exit strategy, manage key relationships across our investor, searcher, and partner networks, design and refine our core presentation materials, and help keep the platform running seamlessly day to day. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a meticulous organizer, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

The Chief of Staff will work closely with and report directly to the Managing Partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesReporting &

• Investor Relations

- Portfolio Company Reporting: Oversee and manage the collection of required reporting from acquired companies. Ensure regular performance reports, financial updates, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are submitted accurately and on time.
- LP Investor Reporting: With leadership support, prepare, format, and distribute comprehensive, accurate, and timely updates to Limited Partners (LP) in the fund, ensuring full transparency and maintaining strong investor confidence.

Portfolio Company Value Creation Support

- Professionalization: Support the Managing Partners in establishing governance frameworks, strategic planning cycles, and standardized management reporting to elevate company maturity and investor readiness.
- Growth & • Marketing:

Help track performance metrics for sales and marketing initiatives and assist portfolio companies in refreshing go-to-market strategies.
- Operational Efficiency: Help identify and document operational workflows to improve margins, reduce waste, and improve scalability.
- Technology & • AI Implementation:

Coordinate the rollout of modern software tools (e.g.,



ERP, CRM) and support the integration of AI tools to optimize business functions.
- Talent Development: Support HR initiatives, including coordinating leadership development programs and tracking key hiring processes.
- Business Development: Conduct research to identify potential add-on acquisition targets and track federal or corporate procurement opportunities to support long-term growth.
- Special Projects: Take on ad hoc strategic initiatives directed by the Managing Partners as the platform scales.

Outreach & • Relationship Management

- Serve as a point of contact for select external stakeholders, including acting as one of the primary points of contact and primary support for active searchers.
- Initiate and coordinate outreach campaigns across our various funnels (investors, searchers, sellers).
- Maintain and update our CRM/database to ensure relationship histories and stakeholder details are accurate.
- Assist in the planning and execution of ETA-related events and networking opportunities.

Research & • Pipeline Management

- Investor Funnel: Support the identification of prospective investors, tracking engagement and capital-raising metrics.
- Searcher Funnel: Map the landscape of prospective searchers and acquisition entrepreneurs and support Searcher recruitment / onboarding processes.
- Platform Partners: Evaluate and track potential platform partnerships and integrations.
- Acquisition Funnel: Conduct preliminary industry, market, and target research to support the acquisition pipeline.
- Exit Funnel: Gather market intelligence and data to support future exit strategies and transition planning.
- Other Stakeholders & • Supports:

Map out key industry contacts, advisors, and support networks vital to the ETA ecosystem.

Grant Research, Writing, and Submission

- Identify local, provincial, and federal grant opportunities relevant to our operations or portfolio companies.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end grant process: drafting proposals, gathering required documentation, and submitting applications on time.




- Track the status of submitted grants and manage compliance/reporting for awarded funds.

Materials Construction & • Presentation Design

- Develop, design, and continuously refine high-quality collateral, including PowerPoint presentations, pitch decks, and operational playbooks.
- Ensure all materials are polished, brand-aligned, and strategically tailored to resonate with specific audiences, including prospective investors, searchers, and exiting business owners.

Administrative Support & • Office Management

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the leadership team.
- Manage day-to-day office operations, coordinate scheduling, and organize internal meetings.
- Develop and refine internal processes to maximize team efficiency and operational workflows.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in operations, administration, project management, or investor relations.
- Experience implementing agentic AI solutions to streamline workflows.
- Strong proficiency in presentation design (G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Gamma) with an eye for transparent, professional formatting.
- Experience managing data collection and generating reports for stakeholders or executives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with specific experience or a strong interest in grant writing.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with private market fund software tools (Google Workspace, CRM tools, Gamma, Webflow, Lovable, Float, and more).
- Bonus: Familiarity with the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) model, private equity, or the search fund ecosystem.

Education & • Professional Background

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field • OR an equivalent combination of professional experience and education.
