Maple Quantitative Research

Company Description Maple Quantitative Research is building a quantitative strategy research and validation platform that brings rigorous, institutional-style testing to a broader market. The platform is designed to help traders and researchers evaluate systematic strategies more reliably before committing capital. Maple emphasizes deterministic backtesting, out-of-sample testing, walk-forward analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, robustness testing, and transparent Trust Reports that clarify strategy weaknesses.
Instead of relying on opaque AI-generated outputs or flashy backtests, Maple prioritizes reproducibility, statistical evidence, and clear validation. The company is initially focused on the retail quantitative trading market with a long-term vision of supporting systematic trading research across both retail and institutional workflows.
Role Description The Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder will lead the technical vision, architecture, and execution of Maple’s quantitative research and validation platform. This remote role, based in Canada, involves setting the long-term technology roadmap, making key architectural decisions, and overseeing end-to-end product development from concept to deployment. The CTO and Co-Founder will build and manage a high-performing engineering team, establish best practices in software development, and ensure that the platform meets strict standards of reliability, performance, and reproducibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with product, research, and business stakeholders, translating market and user needs into technical solutions, and guiding iterative releases that support Maple’s evidence-driven mission. The role also includes hands-on contribution to core systems, mentoring team members, and representing the technology function in strategic partnerships and investor discussions.
