Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Caregiver to provide attentive care within a private home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing, supervising, and engaging with children to promote their well-being, development, and safety. This role offers an prospect to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while working in a supportive and family-oriented environment.
The Child
Caregiver will be expected to foster a positive atmosphere, assist with daily routines, and support the child's growth through educational and recreational activities.
Responsibilities
- Change diapers
- Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
- Sterilise bottles and prepare formulas
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organise activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
- Provide personal care
- Housekeeping activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a caregiving or teaching capacity is preferred
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding
- Skills in cooking and meal preparation suitable for children’s nutritional requirements
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents
- Knowledge of child development principles and safety protocols
- Compassionate, reliable, and attentive nature with a genuine passion for caring for children
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and flexibility
This position provides an enriching opportunity to support children's growth in a family-centered setting while developing valuable caregiving skills. Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Experience:
