We are looking for Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. Consider applying for this incredible opportunity!
The successful candidate will have duties such as but not limited to:
- Performing a daily pre-trip truck and equipment inspection, including an electronic pre-trip inspection
- Following written and verbal instructions from the Yard Manager or Shipping Supervisor for deliveries and pickups
- Delivering of building materials to job sites and/or customers in a timely manner
- Ensuring that every load is secured appropriately, according to all safety and legal requirements.
- Counting items on every load to ensure the counts match the attached paperwork.
- Keeping accurate and legible time logs (when necessary) and adhering to all driving legislation requirements
- Tagging products with relevant information (i.e., Sales Order #, Purchase Order #, Customer Reference[s],
etc.)
- Completing all required paperwork and returning the same to the Yard Manager or Shipping Supervisor after each run
- Ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with the Handbook and all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Valid Class 1 Manitoba Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- 1-3 years of Flat Deck P&D; driving experience
- Valid Forklift License and experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
- Basic knowledge of routine maintenance (e.g., checking of oil, gauges, fluid levels, tire pressure)
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds for an extended period
- Strong work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- 1-2 years of driving experience.
