- Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on a line-haul route from Sunday night to Thursday night, departing Prince George at 10:30 pm
- Execute freight transfers in Quesnel and switch trailers in Williams Lake, with a possible return stop in Quesnel before returning to Prince George
- Finish shift doing some shunting and/or local deliveries as required
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment and document findings on an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in compliance with regulations
- Ensure all freight is properly secured and loaded to prevent damage, loss, or insurance claims
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately
- Adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and maintain a protected driving record
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status and any delays or issues
Qualifications
- Class 1 license
- 1 year of pick-up and delivery experience
- Knowledge of the area is an asset
- Reliable and dependable
- Deck experience is an asset
- TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an asset
- Must be able to provide a criminal record check and 2 work-related references
- A current driver's abstract
