Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking a professional Class 1 Night Shunt Driver based out of Corner Brook, NL.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

Shift: Monday-Friday (20:00-06:00)

Responsibilities

- Running Linehaul between Corner Brook, NL, and Gander, NL
- Communicate efficiently with the dispatch.




- Operate the trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
- Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.

Qualifications

- Education Required: High School or GED.
- Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
- Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
- Night driving experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with satellite systems.
- Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
- Safety conscious.
