Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver specialized in reefer (refrigerated) freight transportation. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty commercial trucks equipped with refrigeration units to transport temperature-sensitive cargo across various routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, maintain product integrity, and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks with reefer units, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport refrigerated freight efficiently across designated routes, ensuring cargo remains at specified temperatures throughout transit
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including refrigeration systems, brakes, tires, lights, and other critical components
- Manage freight loading and unloading procedures, utilizing forklift or heavy equipment as needed to handle pallets and cargo securely
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on refrigeration units and truck systems to prevent delays or breakdowns




- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including manifests, delivery receipts, and inspection logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly

Experience

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- pay:0.60 per mile
- Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks in a commercial setting, preferably with refrigerated freight (reefer experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with forklift operation for cargo handling and loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, safety protocols, and transportation regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot refrigeration or truck systems effectively
- Strong understanding of route planning, time management, and documentation accuracy
