Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver specializing in Reefer (refrigerated) freight transportation. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty commercial trucks equipped with refrigeration units to deliver temperature-sensitive goods across various routes. Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks with reefer units to transport freight over long and short distances
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including refrigeration systems, to ensure optimal operation and safety
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, adhering to proper safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and freight manifests for each shipment
- Monitor refrigeration units during transit to ensure consistent temperature control and prevent spoilage or damage
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues or repairs needed,



including automotive repairs when applicable

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- pay:0.60 per mile
- Proven experience operating refrigerated trucks or similar heavy equipment in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including loading/unloading techniques using forklifts or other equipment
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot refrigeration systems as needed
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
