About the Role

Merivale Medical Imaging is hiring a reliable, hands-on Cleaner/Janitor to help maintain the cleanliness, upkeep, and day-to-day functioning of our medical clinic.

This is a hybrid role combining general cleaning, light handyman work, and laundry duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a spotless, safe, and well-organized facility and is comfortable handling a variety of tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of clinic areas, including waiting rooms, exam rooms, hallways, washrooms, and staff areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain all clinic spaces
- Empty garbage and recycling and restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and hand sanitizer
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize clinic linens, gowns, towels, and scrubs
- Complete general odds-and-ends maintenance and light handyman tasks, including changing lightbulbs, tightening fixtures, minor repairs, and touch-up work
- Identify and report larger maintenance or repair issues to management
- Follow clinic infection-control, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Handle and dispose of medical waste according to established clinic protocols
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients and staff
- Complete other related cleaning, maintenance,



and facility-support duties as required

Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, cleaning, or facilities experience preferred
- Experience in a medical or healthcare environment is an asset
- Basic handyman and general maintenance skills
- Comfortable performing laundry duties as part of the daily routine
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organizational skills and a strong eye for cleanliness
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday
- Able to lift weights
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
