Client Care Coordinator
Department: Radiation Oncology
Location: Victoria, BC
Compensation: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-time
Schedule: The department operates on a Monday-Thursday schedule.
Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is welcoming a Radiation Oncology Coordinator to join our Radiation Oncology team. This role serves as a vital liaison between clients, the Radiation Oncology team, referring veterinarians, and other departments within Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital, ensuring clear, compassionate, and high-quality communication throughout the patient care journey. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dedicated, empathetic and professional, with a genuine desire to support clients through what can be an emotional and challenging time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage recent referrals, ensuring all pertinent information, medical records, etc has been received prior to consultations
- Schedule appointments and liaise with other departments (for shared patients)
- Ensure clients are prepared with "what to expect" during their pet's care with us and respond to questions as needed
- Manage client correspondence, referring veterinarians & internal office messages; follow up as needed to ensure all communications are completed
- Admitting and discharging patients as well as ensuring all required documentation is complete and entered into patient records
- Invoicing/billing; creating treatment plans, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
