HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. We are seeking for CNC Machine Operators in Richmond, BC.

Summary

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for following and maintaining the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure high-quality machining. This role requires adherence to specified guidelines and active participation in improving the process through feedback and collaboration with the Quality Department.

Responsibilities

1. Execute CNC machining operations according to works orders and ensure that all duties and tasks are performed according to safety and quality standards together with SOPs and Work Instructions.
2. Set up and operate CNC Machines (CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, Band Saw machine) according to production schedules and specifications.
3. Interpret and understand technical drawings, and specifications to determine production methods and machining processes
4. Monitor machine operations, ensuring parts meet quality and accuracy standards.
5. Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (digital calipers and thread gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
6. Collaborate with production team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and achieve production goals.
7. Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment, tooling or quality issues to the Lead Hand or CNC Machining Team.

Perform general housekeeping, keeping work area clean.
9. Any other duties required by leadhand.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 completion with math and geometry skills.
- Vocational training or certificate in CNC machining an advantage.
- Familiarity with CNC software; programming (G code) and machining hardware and related experience.
- Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently
- Basic computer abilities. Able to use computer to record data.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high-quality standards
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide constructive feedback.
- Valuable eyesight and steady hands.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
- Must not be allergic to dust, graphite or metal compounds.
- Able to work standing for the duration of the 8 hours shift
- NO Physical impairment. Able to lift/load/move and mount materials (steel or graphite parts/rods) up to 20 KG into machine spindle chuck.
- Able to work in a team.
- Must have legal working status in Canada.
