Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator & Programmer to join our team in Hamilton, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components according to detailed engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for production runs based on technical blueprints and CAD/CAM models.
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, workholding adjustments, and material loading.
- Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently, monitoring parts during production to ensure precise tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers,
height gauges) against engineering drawings.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain a protected, organized shop floor environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in CNC operating and programming.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;), and manual programming or CAD/CAM software.
- Tool & Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and standard machine shop tools.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid problem-solving skills.
