Overview The role of the Warehouse and Logistics Technician (Driver) is to be a dependable team member supporting Procurement and Operations through the managing of material logistics to help ensure the team has the equipment required to complete Projects on time.
As a trusted technical resource, with specialization in the installation of Audio Visual Systems, the logistics technician is to be fully qualified in the use of powered material handling equipment for the purpose of carrying out various shipping, receiving, material handling and inventory control.
Although candidates will be cross-trained, flexible and able to move around within the team as demands and priorities change, this role is primarily focused on material delivery and the preparation required to support the deliveries.
Procurement and Operations Support
- Delivering to, and picking up from, project sites as required
- Prepare kits for the technicians
- Receive bins and materials back from site.
Sort the materials and move parts back to stock and sort large dollar items for potential return to vendor
Logistics and Warehouse Management
When not otherwise engaged in supporting Procurement and Operations with the Activities associated with delivery, to support the Warehouse Manager with:
- Receive all product physically and enter receipt in the system against the PO
- Kit equipment to a project and manage location/kitting process
- Manage, monitor and maintain inventory of the warehouse
- Create pick lists and prepare outbound shipments of equipment moving to sites
- Track and monitor shipments as required
Administrative
- Track time on project work through Connectwise
- Track project status updates and punch lists through Connectwise
- Manage performance through the use of Brightgauge
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Effective communication skills
- Min 3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, and inventory
- Fluency in English
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with inventory management software is an asset
- Experience with Connectwise is an asset
