About the Role

As a Community Disability Practitioner, you will support adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, and complex behavioural needs in a group living setting. Working alongside a diverse team,



you will help individuals achieve their goals, develop independence, and participate fully in community life.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide emotional, physical, behavioural, and personal care supports
- Assist with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and household tasks
- Support individuals with community participation and recreational activities
- Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings
- Complete accurate documentation and reports
- Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies when required

Minimum Qualifications

- Certificate or Diploma in Human Services, Disability Studies, or a related field (international credentials may require WES or IQAS assessment)
- Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle with minimum $2 million liability insurance
- Ability to support individuals with diverse disabilities and complex needs

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the human services field
- Group home experience
- Personal care experience
- Experience supporting individuals with autism
- Knowledge of CPI, de-escalation techniques, and sensory support strategies
- Current certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, CPI/NVCI, APRP, or PBS
