Role Description This full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machine Operator role is based at Formnet Inc. in Toronto, ON. The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machinery to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules.
Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, loading materials, and adjusting machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency. The role also involves performing routine machine maintenance, inspecting finished parts for quality, and documenting production data and any issues encountered.
The CNC Machine Operator works closely with supervisors and team members to optimize production workflows, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Machine Operation and safe handling of CNC equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Milling and Machining processes, including setup and tool selection.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, including measurement, inspection, and adherence to specifications.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with industrial Machinery and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience reading technical drawings and using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) is beneficial.
- Robust attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to workplace safety are required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
