Overview

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Construction Labourer to join our construction crew. Our team specializes in the installation of septic tanks, septic systems, and cisterns, and we are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is willing to learn.

As a Construction Labourer, you will work alongside our experienced construction crew to prepare sites, assist with tank and cistern installations, operate hand tools and equipment, move materials, and help ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding position that involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Duties

- Assist with the installation of septic tanks, septic systems, cisterns, and related components
- Assist with excavation and site preparation for septic and cistern installations
- Prepare and level work areas prior to installation
- Assist with setting and positioning tanks and other system components
- Install and connect piping, fittings, and other components under the direction of experienced crew members
- Operate and safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, pipe, tanks, and other equipment
- Assist with backfilling, grading, and site cleanup following installations
- Follow directions from crew leads and work effectively as part of a team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site




- Perform general labour and other construction-related tasks as required
- Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

- Previous construction, excavation, landscaping, plumbing, or other hands-on labour experience is an asset
- Experience operating construction equipment is an asset
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive manual labour
- Comfortable working around excavation sites and heavy equipment
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to follow instructions and work well independently and as part of a crew
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
- Safety tickets or construction-related training are an asset
