We are an established construction company seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Operations Manager to oversee the administrative, financial and project coordination functions of the business.
This is a central role within the company. The successful candidate will work closely with ownership, project managers, trades, suppliers and our external bookkeeper to keep projects, payments and day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain project schedules, timelines and important deadlines
- Coordinate project information among ownership, project managers, trades, suppliers and clients
- Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding items
- Organize contracts, change orders, purchase orders, invoices, receipts and project documentation
- Prepare and process payroll and employee or subcontractor payments
- Manage bill payments and accounts payable
- Prepare invoices and assist with accounts receivable and payment follow-up
- Coordinate financial records and reporting with the external bookkeeper
- Track project expenses and ensure documentation is complete and accurate
- Maintain employee, supplier, subcontractor and client records
- Coordinate insurance, WSIB and other required administrative documentation
- Manage calendars, meetings, correspondence and general office operations
- Identify problems early and ensure important tasks do not fall through the cracks
- Create and maintain organized administrative systems and procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in construction administration,
construction operations or project coordination
- Direct experience supporting residential or commercial construction projects
- Experience with payroll, accounts payable, invoicing and financial administration
- Strong understanding of project timelines and construction workflow
- Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
- Proficient with Mac OS and Quickbooks
- Experience with bookkeeping, payroll or construction management software is an asset
- Able to handle sensitive financial and employee information with discretion

You are comfortable managing both detailed financial administration and the fast-moving demands of multiple construction projects.
This is a full time, primarily in-office position. Compensation will be based on experience.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
