The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing construction and maintenance projects from start to finish. This position requires strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from initial planning through completion
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Review project scopes, drawings, quotes, and work orders
- Schedule labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress, timelines, quality, and budgets
- Conduct site visits and ensure work is completed to company standards
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding project status and changes
- Identify and address project issues before they become delays or cost concerns
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, change orders, and completion records
- Ensure all required safety procedures and company policies are followed
- Review completed work and coordinate deficiencies and close-out requirements
- Work closely with the Operations Manager, supervisors, field crews, and office staff
What We're Looking For
- Construction or project management experience
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and trades
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to read and understand plans, scopes, and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to travel to job sites as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a solid background in civil or heavy construction projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid.
- Solid understanding of construction estimating processes and project budgeting techniques.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills to coordinate teams and stakeholders efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to large-scale construction sites.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies specific to the construction industry.
