We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Officer (CSO) to support our commercial construction projects throughout Greater Vancouver. The ideal candidate has approximately 10 years of local construction experience, including at least 5 years in a dedicated CSO/safety role, preferably with a mid-sized commercial General Contractor.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day site safety and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company policies
- Conduct site orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Maintain safety documentation, records, permits, and corrective-action tracking
- Review trade safety plans, FLHAs/JHAs, and secure work procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and work with site supervision to correct them
- Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
- Support emergency planning and first-aid requirements
- Promote a strong, practical safety culture while supporting site productivity

Qualifications





- 8–10+ years of Greater Vancouver construction experience
- 5+ years working as a CSO on commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC requirements
- Recognized CSO certification and current First Aid certification
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of site safety

Please note you will be working on the Surrey/Langley border Pay: $23.08-$46.48 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
