Job Introduction

LinkBuild Construction Ltd. (LinkBuild) is a Prince George BC based company specializing in heavy civil and resource construction. LinkBuild specializes in resource construction, access structures, mining support, civil construction, concrete, reclamation, and general earthworks.

As a Construction Supervisor for LinkBuild, you will have hands-on ability and technical skill to direct, support, and participate in a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising resource/bridge/heavy civil work and will provide field leadership to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities The Construction Supervisor will have a broad range of responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

1) Supervision & Field Leadership

- Provide hands-on supervision, coordination, and completion of assigned LinkBuild projects.
- Plan and support daily work execution to meet project objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
- Ensure crews are deployed effectively to maximize productivity and quality outcomes.
- Support and ensure customer contract requirements are understood and met.
- Coordinate and oversee safe use, operation, and maintenance of equipment and resources.

2) Staffing, Training & Performance (Human Resource Support)

- Allocate resources and assign accountabilities as required.
- Plan, monitor, and evaluate job results and employee performance.
- Instruct, mentor, and support a team of construction professionals and skilled trades to meet customer and company expectations.

3) Production & Quality Control

- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing work standards.
- Direct and oversee site production activities, including personnel and workflow coordination.
- Ensure documentation is completed and maintained for production and quality control records.




- Ensure work is completed in compliance with safety requirements, quality control standards, regulatory requirements, and project agreements.
- Ensure strong housekeeping and site readiness at all times.

4) Safety & Compliance (Field Standards)

- Lead by example and ensure high safety standards are maintained across worksites.
- Participate in jobsite safety communications and support corrective actions when required.
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with company safety processes.

Working Conditions This position is a field-oriented role (90%) with local office work at LinkBuild Construction Head Office (10%) in Prince George, BC. The role requires travel, availability for extended hours when required, and participation in active field schedules.

The Construction Supervisor will report to the General Manager.

Education and Training Post-secondary accreditation/training in Construction or Resource Management, preferably in Forestry, Civil Engineering, or Project Management.

Experience

You bring solid, field-proven construction leadership that is supported by years of supervision, planning, and heavy civil/resource project experience.

- A minimum of five (5) years experience within the construction industry;
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in business management, planning, and financial oversight;
- A minimum of five (5) years experience in heavy construction, personnel management, supervision, and evaluation;




- Direct involvement in resource road, bridge, and access construction.

Core Skills & Competencies You lead with safety and accountability, communicate clearly with field and office teams, and stay organized while driving production and quality.

- Proven front-line resource construction management experience.
- Excellent understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization with diplomacy and tact.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating techniques an asset.
- Flexible to change; open to constructive feedback.
- Excellent planning, organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; proactive problem-solving.
- Ability to lead a construction team and act as a resource/support to others.
- Ability to identify issues and implement solutions in accordance with company policies and programs.
- Maintain confidentiality in all personnel and business matters.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to cope with conflict, stress, and crisis situations.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
