We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Welder to work by hand with all supplies provided. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on various metal components, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to project specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Perform MIG and some Aluminum welding and repairs materials with precision and consistency.
- Use hand tools, power tools and other equipment to prepare materials for welding or assembly.
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks during fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols,
inspecting ductwork or structural elements, and properly handling tools and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG Stick) within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in rigging, machining, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and assembly procedures.
- Knowledge of ductwork installation, construction practices, and welding codes is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience with schematics reading and working with technical drawings is essential.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials safely, and perform detailed manual work in a fast-paced setting.
