About the role The Control Room Supervisor is part of the Mining Operations team. The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing various underground automated systems, including ventilation (VOD system), blasting, pumping, compressed air, fuel, power consumption, fixed equipment, tele-remote operation, seismic monitoring systems, ISAAC alerts, and other related systems. The incumbent is also responsible for collecting and analyzing data generated by these systems.
Essential Duties Manage emergency situations, including mercaptan releases and the mobilization of emergency response teams.
Oversee alarms generated by the various underground systems.
Follow established procedures related to the responsibilities of the Control Room Technician. Participate in the development of missing procedures and initiate IsoVision reports following incidents and accidents.
Ensure effective ventilation management during and between shifts, as well as during the clearing of blasting gases.
Ensure compliance with blasting protocols, including verification of underground personnel, shutdown of ventilation fans, opening and/or closing ventilation louvers, and operation of the SMART BLAST system.
Coordinate the return-to-work following gas clearing activities and workplace closures.
Monitor the proper operation of the Ventilation on Demand (VOD) system.
Monitor the seismic system and activate the appropriate protocols during seismic events.
Maintain up-to-date reports on the status of the mobile equipment fleet and create work orders for planned repairs.
Maintain control room records and analyze data collected through existing software systems to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of mining operations.
Process daily orders for materials and tools required for underground work while meeting prescribed deadlines.
Understand, comply with, and promote company policies and regulations, particularly those relating to health and safety.
Perform all other duties related to the position. Training &
Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in underground mining operations.
Valid explosives permit.
Completed Mining Training Modules (F.M.T.M.) or equivalent mining certifications.
Solid computer skills.
Bilingual (English and French).

Working Conditions Eleonore mine site (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or and Wemindji) Schedule: 14 working days followed by 14 days off
