About the Role





Epic is seeking a Corporate Accounting Associate to join our dynamic Corporate Accounting team located in Downtown Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, specific responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

· Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, monitoring and journalizing daily cash transactions including bank charges and other cash transactions.

· Monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned legal entities.

· Preparation of leasing fee invoices with full backup under the supervision of the Corporate Accountant.

· Preparation of development and capital fee invoices with full backup under the supervision of the Senior Corporate Accountant.

· Preparation of recharge invoices to properties.

· Preparation of sales tax remittances.

· Assisting with preparation of working papers for monthly reporting and year end audit.

· Working with other departments to ensure prompt collection of billings, to resolve discrepancies and respond to enquiries.

· Various ad-hoc assignments and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Accounting is a minimum education requirement; pursuit of an accounting designation (CPA) is an asset.

· 1-2 years of relevant corporate accounting experience.





· Strong Excel skills; Copilot experience is an asset.

· Yardi experience is an asset.

· Fast learner, curious and process improvements oriented.

· Superior professionalism, courtesy and friendliness in dealing with people.

· Excellent sense of responsibility and ownership.

· Unquestioned discretion and confidentiality.

· Ability to meet changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, to multi-task and meet deadlines.

· Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy.

· Self-directed, but also a strong team player, with excellent collaborative and communication skills.

Expected Compensation Range:

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $55,000– $63,000 CAD. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and market conditions, while ensuring internal equity. In addition to base salary, Epic offers a competitive total rewards package that may include discretionary performance-based incentives, comprehensive extended group benefits, retirement savings programs, and paid time off.
