Corporate Communications & Partnerships Specialist
Location: Toronto (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year

Position Overview
The Corporate Communications & Partnerships Specialist plays a key role in supporting organizational growth and engagement through the development and execution of marketing, communications, and partnership initiatives. The role serves as a bridge between the Marketing & Communications and Business Development functions, supporting the Association. This position is responsible for developing and implementing integrated campaigns that increase awareness and engagement, enhance the visibility of educational programs and membership, and support sponsorship objectives.
The successful candidate will combine strong marketing expertise with relationship management skills and a data-driven approach to delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Lead and support integrated marketing campaigns for national initiatives including membership recruitment and renewal, professional education, advocacy initiatives, conferences, designation programs and Financial Literacy Month.
- Assist with marketing campaigns to support membership, education, events, designation programs, sponsorships, and partner initiatives.
- Assist with campaign plans, timelines, messaging frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Support promotional efforts for conferences, webinars, designation programs, and member initiatives.
Content Development & Communications
- Assist in creating compelling content for digital platforms, websites, email campaigns, social media, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Assist in the development of communication plans for major initiatives and campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and partner-facing materials.
- Support media relations, thought leadership, podcast promotion, and corporate communications activities as required.
- Develop media materials including news releases, media pitches, statements, and organizational announcements.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for proactive communications.
- Create marketing collateral, sales materials, sponsorship packages, and promotional assets.
Executive Communications
- Draft speeches, presentations, remarks, member communications, and executive correspondence for the President & CEO and senior leadership.
- Prepare briefing materials, messaging documents, talking points, and corporate announcements.
Partnerships and Sponsor Activation
- Support the development and execution of partnership growth strategies.
- Serve as a key liaison between Marketing & Communications and Partner initiatives
- Manage sponsor activation plans and ensure all sponsorship deliverables are executed.
- Assist in onboarding, engagement, and retention activities for corporate and academic partners.
- Coordinate partner marketing deliverables, sponsorship assets, promotional opportunities, and communications.
- Maintain partnership databases, contact records, and activity tracking.
- Support contract renewal and partner stewardship activities.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, proposals, and partnership materials.
- Attend industry events, conferences, webinars, and networking opportunities to support business development efforts.
- Assist in identifying new sponsorship opportunities and partnership prospects.
- Support sponsor renewal campaigns and stewardship initiatives.
- Assist with prospect research, sponsorship proposals
Analytics & Reporting
- Assist with tracking and analyzing campaign, partnership, and engagement performance.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards highlighting KPIs, trends, and recommendations.
- Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Monitor campaign performance, sponsorship ROI, website traffic, email engagement, social media metrics, and partnership activity to inform future strategy.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, business development, partnership management, or a related role.
- Experience working within an association, not-for-profit, professional education, or financial services environment is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and stakeholder relationships.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor).
- Basic graphic design experience (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with analytics platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, and presentation software.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Highly collaborative with a customer-service orientation.
- Experience with website maintenance; WordPress experience considered a plus
- Photography/video content experience considered an asset.
