Position Overview

Charlottetown Bottle & Metal is looking for an outgoing, energetic, and dependable Bottle Redemption Customer Service Representative to join our team.

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused position that requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. The successful candidate will enjoy working with people, take pride in providing excellent customer service, and work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers bringing in beverage containers for redemption.
- Accurately input customer bottle transactions into the point-of-sale/redemption system and process bottle purchases.
- Assist with counting, sorting, and processing beverage containers as required.
- Handle customer transactions accurately and ensure customers receive the correct refund/payment.
- Communicate clearly with customers and help answer questions regarding the bottle redemption process.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while managing multiple customers and tasks at the same time.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and tidy work area throughout the workday.
- Keep customer service and bottle-processing areas safe and free of unnecessary clutter.
- Work closely with other CBM team members to keep customer traffic and bottle processing moving efficiently.
- Assist other team members when needed and contribute to a positive, cooperative workplace.
- Follow CBM procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support the day-to-day operation of the bottle depot.

- Be willing to learn CBM's bottle redemption systems, procedures, and customer service standards.

Physical Requirements This position involves being on your feet for much of the workday and working in an active bottle redemption environment. Employees must be comfortable with repetitive tasks, handling beverage containers, bending, reaching, and lifting reasonable loads associated with the position.

The right person will be able to move quickly, stay organized, handle several things at once, and still make sure every customer receives great service.

Pay: $17.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
