Formerly Qualitest, QualityAI is seeking a highly motivated Cypress Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions across UI, API, and database layers. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality through continuous testing, automation, and close collaboration with Agile development teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong test automation expertise with a solid understanding of modern web applications, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and quality assurance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute scalable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and database testing.
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Cypress and Playwright.
- Ensure continuous execution of automation suites, analyze failures, and provide timely reporting and root-cause analysis.
- Perform pull request (PR) testing and support release validation activities.
- Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to support automated testing and deployment workflows.
- Develop and execute API integration and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Perform manual validation of user stories alongside automation development to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution reports in Azure DevOps.
- Execute regression, integration, and system testing across multiple applications and services.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and stakeholders to align testing activities with sprint goals and release schedules.
- Track, manage, and report defects while driving quality improvements across the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to testing best practices, framework enhancements, and continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation,



or Quality Engineering.
- Proven experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile practices, and SDLC processes.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Technical Skills

- Solid hands-on experience with Cypress test automation.
- Experience with Playwright automation frameworks.
- Extensive experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Strong UI, API, and database automation testing experience.
- Hands-on experience creating and managing test plans and test cases using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with PR testing, release validation, and CI/CD pipeline creation in Azure DevOps.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and API integration testing.
- Experience supporting SOA-based services and modern web application architectures.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple Agile development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale Agile environments.
- Exposure to performance, security, or accessibility testing.
