Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Data Engineer for a contract opportunity. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in office in Toronto, Mississauga, or Guelph.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience designing and building enterprise client data products and platforms. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Azure ADLS, Databricks, Spark, Python/PySpark, Git-based CI/CD, and API integrations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering client-centric data solutions, including the ingestion and standardization of data from multiple sources and the development of curated data layers that support analytics, reporting, and downstream consumption.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale client data products and data platforms.
- Develop data ingestion and integration solutions for multiple sources, including MDM, CRM, digital, transactional, and external systems.
- Build and maintain curated, client-centric data layers to support analytics, reporting, and downstream data consumption.
- Develop scalable data pipelines using Azure ADLS, Databricks, Spark, Python, and PySpark.
- Design and implement data integrations using APIs and other enterprise integration patterns.
- Apply data standardization,



transformation, and validation techniques to ensure reliable and consistent data.
- Develop and maintain client master data models and golden record solutions.
- Implement data quality, governance, metadata management, and data modelling practices.
- Support Git-based CI/CD processes for data engineering solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, technical stakeholders, and business partners.
- Take ownership and accountability for delivering complete, high-quality data solutions.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience leading and delivering client data solutions, data products, or enterprise data platforms.
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure ADLS, Databricks, Spark, Python, and PySpark.
- Proven experience building and managing enterprise data pipelines and data ingestion solutions.
- Experience integrating and standardizing data from multiple sources, including MDM, CRM, digital, transactional, and external sources.
- Strong experience with data modelling, data quality, data governance, and metadata management.
- Experience developing client master data models and golden record solutions.
- Strong experience with API integrations and enterprise data integration patterns.




- Experience with Git-based CI/CD practices and source control.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of data products and deliver complete solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Experience building client-centric data products supporting analytics and reporting.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale MDM or CRM platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based data engineering and modern data platforms.
- Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Experience with financial services, insurance, or other data-intensive enterprise environments.

Compensation

Salary Range: $60.00 - $80.00 / hour
