Title: Quality & Defect Management Lead

Type: 12-month contract

Work Model: Hybrid - minimum 4 day per week in office

Pay Rate: $85-92/hr

Collabera is seeking a Quality & Defect Management Lead to support Clients multi-year Investment Platform Transformation, including the implementation of Aladdin and modernization of its investment technology and data environment.

This person will own the day-to-day defect management process across SIT, UAT, and parallel testing, working between the Testing Lead and testing teams. They will not execute testing themselves but will ensure defects are properly understood, prioritized, assigned, resolved, retested, and closed.

Our Client is looking for someone with strong QA/testing and defect management experience within capital markets or investment management. Direct Aladdin experience is not required, although experience with investment platforms such as SimCorp or Calypso would be an asset. Candidates could come from a Defect/Quality Management Lead or Test/QA Lead background, provided they have strong hands-on defect management experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

The Quality & Defect Management Lead will oversee the day-to-day management of defects identified during SIT, UAT, and parallel testing. They will run daily defect triage meetings to review what failed, understand the cause and severity, assign ownership, establish resolution timelines, and ensure issues are fixed, retested, and properly closed. They will work closely with business, technology, data, testing, and vendor teams to escalate critical issues and identify recurring defect trends.

The Lead will also track and report defects through Azure DevOps and provide leadership with visibility into outstanding risks and overall readiness to move through testing and toward go-live.

Must-Haves:

- 6+ years of QA, testing, defect management, or quality management experience, including ownership of defects across large,



complex technology transformation programs

- Strong hands-on experience leading defect triage, including severity/priority assessment, root cause discussions, escalation, retesting, and closure

- Capital markets/investment management experience with an understanding of investment data, platforms, accounting, reconciliation, or related processes

- Robust experience supporting SIT/UAT and large-scale manual testing environments, with the ability to work closely with testing teams without being the individual executing the tests

- Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills, including experience using Azure DevOps or a comparable defect/test management platform

Plusses:

- Experience with Aladdin, SimCorp, Calypso, or another major investment management platform

- Previous Test Lead, QA Lead, Defect Lead, Quality Lead, or Test Manager experience where defect management was a significant responsibility

- Experience with parallel testing/reconciliation, comparing new-platform results against existing production systems

- Experience investigating defects involving investment data, accounting, performance, reporting, or system integrations

- Data engineering/data platform exposure, with the ability to review data-related issues and understand whether results and data flows look correct
