Duties

- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure freight using forklifts, dolly or pallet jacks.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and compliance
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules
- Assist with freight handling, including loading, unloading, and organizing cargo for optimal delivery flow
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues on the road
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication with dispatch teams for smooth operations

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.



3+ years experience in a 3 or 5 ton truck
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a freight or warehouse setting would be an asset
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate vehicles and machinery safely in various weather conditions
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform manual tasks regularly
